Question by Me Y: Diet for a person with eczema?
I’m 17 and I’ve got mild eczema on my arms and back. I’ve been told that I can only control it and can’t cure it. But how do I control it? I’ve recently switched from cows milk to soya (yuk!!!) but I need to gain weight somehow for my kickboxing match in 2 months. Not a great load but just a bit. I’m currently around 10 stones. I want to get to 12 stones. Oh and I run in the mornings, which may be why I can’t gain weight but I need to run and keep fit in order to keep up with the other guys. So can someone suggest a diet for me, that will help control my ezcema as well as help me gain weight, calcium and build muscle. Please I’d be really grateful if anyone could suggest something!! I’m desperate!

These are separate skin conditions, and while I have been diagnosed with Eczema since infancy, I believe I may have a mild form of Psoriasis.
Both rarely are rarely “active” at the same time, but sometimes they are, there is a noticeable difference between the patches of skin, even though they are usually close to each other, even overlapping at times. Have I just done too much research on skin conditions, or is it possible to have both Eczema and Psoriasis?

my nephew is 18 years old and has suffered from atopic dermatitis (severe skin eczema) since birth. He also has food allergies and asthma. This has caused many missed days of school due to sleepless nights and extreme itching, infections, from the eczema. He has tried every treatment available and nothing seems to work for the long term.
