I couldn`t tell for sure, but if it is circular and has small white spots on that circle, it is ringworm. Get some anti-fungal cream, that should clear it up.

My doctor prescribed me Clotrimazole and betamethasone. I put it on my arm yesterday and it seemed to fade a little, but I’m afraid to take any more of it, because I read the side effects! It says not recommended for 17 years and younger! I’m really worried now…. side effects are scaring me to the point where I get panic attacks…. & is there any other way to get rid of ring worm.

I went to the doc and she said she wasn’t sure but she thought it was between contact dermatitis or Fungus , but she didn’t take a skin sample. Now i had bought a guinea pig that had ringworm and is under treatment, But this started three weeks after she was gone. (she was only around one day.)
It started out as three little bumps like a bug bit me, and lasted for a week like that, then formed a round bumpy rash. It didn’t start looking like the pictures untill a week and a half ago. I’ve had it for a month. My mom doesn’t think it’s ringworm. I also wonder too, as i’ve itched it and then itched other parts of my body and it’s not spread, and no one else in my house has it. Also the anti-fungal stuff makes that spot itch even more, and burn. Not get better.
It’s driving me nuts! as i also have a bad bout of poison ivy. i’m going nuts with the itching.

I work weekends at a dog/cat boarding kennel, which means i am constantly in contact with a circulating bunch of ALOT of dogs & cats.
I am very paranoid, almost obsessive-compulsive, when it comes to contagious things such as ringworm & mange & other hideous little bugs that can be passed to humans…& there are a number of animals at the kennel that have hairless patches on their skin & other nasty looking little skin disorders [my boss just calls it "dermatitis" which could be what the owners have told them it is, & some dogs have medications for dermatological disorders....]
I HATE IT! I mean, I wash my hands alot while I am working there, but is there any other way that I can reduce my chances of getting ringworm from these animals [cats can even carry it without showing symptoms]. I am freaked out…it makes me itchy just thinking about it! it is not practical to wear gloves while working there.

I have an erythematously filled circle on my shoulder. It is not a ring. It is a filled circle. It has pustules in the the circle, which I think are my pores filled with pus. It is slightly raised. The skin around the circle is slightly red and itches. The site itself itches really badly. I tried hydrogen peroxide once, neosporin once, hydrocortisone twice, airing it out, bandaging it, etc. It started 6 days ago. I will call a doctor on Monday. It was the size of a dime 6 days ago and now is the size of a quarter. It kind of burns – or maybe that is the extreme itch factor. It’s painful, too, but tolerable. The pores were not pustular at first, but more are filling up with pus as each day goes by.
There is no bite mark in the center. There is no lighter color in the center and ring on the outside. It’s all dark pink/red. No other sx noted. No spider/tick seen 6 days ago, although they are everywhere where I live. No contact with fragrances, diff. detergents, etc. No hx of excema.
