Eczema Treatment Care

According to what I read about cortaid it doesn’t sound good for my baby. Does anyone have any ideas as far as other safe medications?

i got a really bad itchy rash all over my body a few days ago and the doctor told me it was contact dermatitis from something outside.
i’ve been put on prednisone for a week (today is the 3rd day i’ve been on it), plus i’ve been applying hydro-cortisone a few times a day to the worst areas, and i take a benadryl morning and night.
has this happened to anybody else? how long will it take before it goes away completely? what can i do to stop the obnoxious itching!? please and thank you.
