Modest Middles Nursing Tank Tops presents another video in the Minutes for Moms Series. This video features a momterpeneur who has developed an all natural Herbal Salve. Holly White of Blissful Babies tells Karen Maschue a Phoenix midwife with St. Raymond’s homebirthing that “nature has provided mothers with the best ingredients for soothing every skin irritation that a baby encounters. Time tested and sensitivity approved, Blissful Babies Herbal Salve combines century old knowledge into a modern salve.” Herbal salves are gentle enough to use on newborns, yet powerful enough to soothe even an adult’s chaffing. The herbs used in Blissful Babies salve have been proven to heal even the most uncomfortable of conditions for both babies and parents. Because it is 100% edible, you need not worry when using it with a breastfeeding baby or young toddler who puts everything in his/her mouth (www.modestmiddles.com, www.straymondshomebirthing.com, www.blissfulbabies.com)

Question by ~~~נєѕѕ~~~ is bored with Y!A: Does drawing salve work on acne or eczema?
What are some other uses for drawing salve? Would it be safe for children (ages 4 and 9)? And where would I be able to buy it?

I asked this question earlier in a different section and the only answers I got were spam.

Best answer:

Answer by Phoretuna
Drawing salve is usually petroleum based so I would not use it for acne.
If you are talking about a drawing salve that has pine tar/oil and petro based it is safe for kids that age.

I have seen it used on boils and staph. A very warm but damp cloth is used on the affected area until some of the pus is brought to the surface, clean this away ,cover with salve and bandage. This is for acute cases.

Exzema is sooo varied for causes, I would not use ANY petro based product on it.

It can also draw out the sting and itch out of bug bites and rashes, avoid the obvious lower regions for this product.

Prid’s is the main drawing salve I know about, these products have been around for a long time.Good Luck
