Question by : Scabies? Impetigo? Eczema?
I have a mild case of eczema (the occasional itch, a few red patches, the occasional open sore, etc) but on Friday night, I saw two little bumps on my skin, thinking they were just mosquito bites, I ignored the problem. The problem progressed, and my skin got bumpier ( i know this is gross) but anyways, my mother ended up taking me to the ER because the original two bumps had moved ALL up my back, stomach and up my neck..by the time I got to the hospital, the bumps had moved up to my forehead. I don’t think this could be impetigo…because its not oozing yellow crap…but idk. My doctor diagnosed me with with severely infected eczema, but I saw a pic and a small description of scabies, and I really think I have it. But I’m not sure. I’m not attaching pictures for the sake of your mental health….but if this helps, I have tiny little bumps moving all up my body, yet they’re going away when I use eczema cream…yet I’m still worried about the open cuts getting that MRSA thing or whatever. I’m only 12, so this is kind of scary. Please help. I really want to wear shorts again.
I’m currently on an antibiotic and I’ve been taking benedryl.

sounds like urticaria or possibly angioedema , i would suggest trying a antihistamine to diagnose wether its a allergy or not . Just buy some typical hayfever meds which are antihistamines like benadryl or cetirizine , if you find this helps improve the situation then it is possibly the case that you have developed an allergy , though it may indicate a auto immune problem that needs to be addressed and possible refferral to an immunoligist .

Well, normally in those areas,
it gets hot.
so,
the skin gets irritated.
my skin gets red and bumpy there.
but,
eczema is rough dry like patchs of skin
ive got that too lol.
so im thinking.
it is one of the two.

i might have scabies, or eczema i ‘m not sure. i have reddish-pinkish bumps that are in a cluster of about 2 inches wide, right before my bikini line starts, but only on my left side. But i also have a bit of it on my back, kind of above my left kidney, but those bumps are smaller and redder (and my mom has kind of the same thing except it’s on the inside of her elbows and on her knees.) Any idea of what it could be? is it contagious? could i have gotten it from my mom?
and the bumps itch very little, but only when I touch them.
my mom has eczema

So I was diagnosed with scabies yesterday and a couple weeks before this I was diagnosed with dermatitis and I don’t know which is correct? I got the cream and put it on last night and washed my clothes and bedding but I don’t think I have scabies because I haven’t been in close contact with anyone except my bf and he doesn’t have scabies. I read that it can only be contagious through prolonged skin to skin contact and I want to know if that’s true. I am scratching a lot but it’s not keeping me up at night. The doctor who diagnosed me with it did no testing and just said that’s what I had in like one second of looking at it and not even looking at it closely so I am having doubts that I have it. I am currently living with my parents and now they are worried about getting it but I think they would’ve had it by now and I just don’t know how I got it in the first place?? If you can help me that would be great! Thanks!
