Well, after 4 years I would say it is safe to stop wasting your money on the homeopathic remedies. Sometimes eczema is caused by bacteria on the skin’s surface. Try soaking your hand in a bowl of water with a tablespoon of bleach in it for a few minutes every night for a few nights. This will kill off most of the bacteria on your hand and may help if bacteria is indeed the cause. Helped my wife.

Question by Need Answers: My son has eczema- I heard some vaccines shouldn’t be given ??
My 6 month old son has eczema. Not bad just ocassional dry patches on his skin. I read that children with eczema shouldnt be given certain vaccines with “live cells” in them such as the small pox vaccination because their skin does not contain the antibodies to counteract actually developing the illness- therefore they can get smallpox from getting the vaccine. I havent spoken to my doctor about it yet. I was just wondering how common this is, if anyone has any experience ???

Question by Doll Face: I would like some help with my Eczema?
I am 15 and I have eczema. I model so usually I have to get my pictures fixed, or put makeup on my arms. It isnt like totally noticeable, but if you stood next to me, you could tell I have it. I also do pageants and it sometimes makes me self conscience to wear dresses because of my arms. I have seen a dermatologist and my doctor, but they said I am too young to get anything done, and I just have to “deal”. But apart from not liking the way it looks, it DOES itch and my skin gets all red. If it was less itchy, I would not care about how it looks.

Are there any moisturizers that I can use in the shower, then like after the shower put on a special cream? Or anything??? I want something that will make it be as smooth as it could be. I know it won’t go away 100%, but I would like it to change at least a little.

Thanks!

Please no rude answers :)

My husband has recently experienced a thumb print size rash on his stomach, sides etc… which seems to flare up when it is very hot. He hasn’t seen doctor yet because it comes & goes. He is scheduled to get a flu shot today at work.

Would the flu shot make this worse? I don’t think so, but he worries about everything!
