Okay, so on Tuesday night, I was at a friend’s house and I noticed that my forehead felt kind of bumpy. So I look and I see little bumps on my forehead, sort of like hives. They weren’t red or anything; just the same color of my skin. This is normal, because I’m allergic to pets or furry things, so I get hives all the time. I took some Zyrtec when I got home, and I went to bed.
So the next morning, I woke up and the bumps were now ALL OVER MY FACE. My eyes and my lips excluded, my face and my left ear were covered in these bumps. The ones on my lower cheek and jaw bones were a reddish color, but the rest looked like raised skin.
I went to the doctor later that day, and they concluded that I had contact dermatitis. They prescribed a steroid cream that would heal my rash in 6-7 days. I put it on all the infected places twice yesterday.
However, when I woke up this morning, I found that it spread to my right ear, most of my neck, and some of my chest. As the day went on, I saw that I also had a few bumps around my elbow creases and two or three on my hands.
Now, I have concluded that there is no way that this is contact dermatitis. Contact dermatitis means coming in contact with something, but I didn’t rub my face all over a eucalyptus leaf or something, so I have no idea how it could be contact-related. Plus, if it spread, clearly it’s not a contact-related rash.
I have a few pictures that I took that you can see at the following link.
Two are of my left cheek, and the third is of my forehead.

I really don’t expect to get any results whatsoever, but I figured this was worth a shot.
Any and all help and answers are greatly appreciated!

my skin turns scaly and red (in color, not texture) when it’s irratated or there’s a rapid temperature change.
it’s not ringworm, i’ve been checked for that. my physician keeps on calling it “contact dermatitis”, but it’s clearly not that because i haven’t come in contact with anything new (new laundry detergent, new bed sheets, etc). i get it on my hands, legs from ankle to thigh, and arms from palms to shoulders. does anyone know how to treat this, or even know what this is at all?

About three months ago I went to the dermatologist cause I have like a red irritation on the side of my penis and its right under the head on the foreskin. The dermatologist told me it was contact dermatitis and perscribed me some hydrocortizone cream. I’ve been tested for every std and they came back negative. My worry is why hasn’t it gone away completely? It looks like a brownish/blueish/purple line and when it flares up it gets red than goes back down… Sometimes it has dry and flaky skin and is very sensitive. I have no insurance to go back to the doctor plus don’t feel its nessassary. I just wanna know if anyone can help me out with what’s going on cause I can’t find any information online. Thanks for any help. P.S. I am circumsized

My two year old hasn’t run fever or even complained of itching. I’ll catch her scratching at it here and there and I’ll ask her if it itches and she always says no. She fell in the mud while we were on a walk and got her jeans all muddy. I noticed a little irritation after that. I started using a new dryer sheet and noticed that I was also getting these tiny little randomly scattered bumps so I immediately threw those out. My little bumps went away but hers continued to spread and now they’ve turned into a red patchy rash. She still has the little specked red dots here and there. Is this just some kind of contact dermatitis? I keep putting hydrocortisone on it and I’ve given her zantac but neither seem to be doing much. Thanks!

I’ve had this for awhile but I’ve been ignoring it because I tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac when it comes to my skin. All it is is a bunch of tiny red (dark red, like blood) dots loosely scattered over my arms and chest. They’re very, very small and wouldn’t show up on a picture. They look like dark red specks that you could just brush off, only they don’t brush off. They don’t itch or hurt.
But I began to worry when I started seeing some raised bumps kind of like pimples on the insides of my elbows, and also what appeared to be small rashes on the insides of my wrists. These rashes don’t itch; in fact, they look just like a cluster of the tiny red dots I mentioned, only the red dots are now the centers of several raised bumps. The rash is on the same spot on both of my wrists and does not itch or hurt.
This may not be related, but I’ve also noticed at least one, possibly two new moles on my forearm. They look normal, so I’m not worried about them. Just thought I’d bring them up.
WebMD was not helpful, and I have not been able to find anything to suggest that this is a type of contact dermatitis. However, I wonder if they are possibly bites, and if I possibly have parasites in my bed. *shudder*
