Question by ~Ang~: Can stress trigger my eczema? And any suggestions on home remedies?
I’ve had problems with eczema as a kid, and had it under control for over 10 years. Now at 24, i’ve started having problems with it again. I put vaseline intensive care lotion on at least 2 times a day. I try not to scratch, but apparently I’m scratching in my sleep. HELP

Yes I belive stress can trigger eczema. I had many times before eczema and I used “Fucicort” ointment (crying was very helpfull too, to let out the stress). Go to a dermatologist-I don’t think vaseline works.
good luck

Question by Bambulina: What foods can trigger eczema in babies?
Does anyone know? I am currently breastfeeding and am trying to figure out what food I am eating might cause my baby’s rashes on her face. I eat lots of veggies and citrus fruits, cottage cheese, yogurts, lean chicken, fish, etc.

How old is the baby? She may just have pimples because your hormones are changing and that goes through your breastmilk. It’s like before you start your period and your face breaks out because of your hormones…same thing. My daughter had beautiful skin for the 1st month of her life and then her face broke out. It’s cleared up now (it lasted about a month) but it’s normal and just caused by changing hormones.

i have eczema and it keeps flaring up on my lower eyelids and on the skin under my eyes. every morning i eat cheerios with chocolate milk (which i recently changed to soymilk because i read that dairy can cause eczema flare ups), and i recently read that gluten can also cause flare ups. and i read that cheerios contain gluten. so could eating cheerios every day be causing my flare ups?
