Try supplementing your diet with fish oil and I started to use the oil of a vitamin E capsule on areas where the skin is scaly. If the area is inflamed, try some aloe to sooth the inflamed area. Hope this works.

Question by fenman/fenwoman: Does anyone know a cure to help Nummular Dermatitis? It is a type of eczema.?

Best answer:

Answer by Rusty
The main cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I’ve turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use herbal remedies from serenaskin.com, which aim at the root of the disease – the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with anti-eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.

Question by Bam: I have eczema and tested positive for herpes simplex type 1, PLZ HELP?
hi, i’ve just done some reading and have only just found out about a disease called Eczema Herpeticum, i couldn’t find out much about it. so i need some help please.
i have had eczema since i was a baby, and recently i tested positive for HSV1, does that mean i automatically have Eczema Herpeticum. it said it can lead to problems in the brain, lungs and eyes, and be fatal.
last december i had an allergic reaction to something, and i got a rash on my wrist which was slightly red, with white dry skin. i was itching a great deal a while after, my eyes were swollen at one point but went up and down for a few days. it wasn’t till march that i found otu that i had HSV1. in between that time i’ve had head aches at time and stuff. i let my doctors know that i had a preexisting case of eczema yet they never brought up the question “do you have herpes” (this was before testing postitive for hsv1) and after i found out, i’ve let doctors know i’ve got hsv1 and an existing case of eczema yet no one has ever said anything. please help. i’m really worried about this.
Lindsey your response was completely useless. you have given me nothing useful. all you’ve told me is a bit about herpes and a bit about eczema. you’ve completely ignored the question. people like you make this whole yahoo answers thing more difficult than it should be.

HSV1 is so widespread (more people have it than not) that if it was a significant risk there is no way the doctor would have overlooked it.
And eczema is also very common (one person in ten) so plenty have both, and they’re ok.

Question by Eunice: Is there a milder type of eczema?
My sister’s always been the itchy kind of person, but she usually has these dry areas on her joints (like the bending part of her elbows or knees). I’ve seen pictures of eczema, and her arms and legs don’t look as bad as they did. The places on her arms aren’t really that red unless she scratches it a lot and it starts bleeding a little. And it’s only in a small area of her arm or leg, not everywhere.
I’m not sure what it is. I kinda thought it might be a mild type of eczema?

i think eczema is different for each person. Mine is very mild and it comes and goes in patches. Sometimes its flakey sometimes not. It always itches like crazy. It is very possible

My 18 month old niece has a dark skin tone but her face has developed these light color patches on it.
