Question by capitalisticsista: Anyone have any non-prescription remedies that work well for eczema?
Both of my children have eczema and the dr. prescribed elidel. After I read the possible side effects, I would rather not rub it on them all the time.

flaxseed is powerful in fighting eczema.
Supposedly eczema comes from a lack of fatty acids and Omega 3 oils in the diet. You can use th oil or grind your own seeds and eat fresh. I like to mix mine with oatmeal.
You need to use it consistently though. Can’t stop once it clears

mendy and sonita, stop doing this. that does not help people at all. you are just trying to get your points up there. so, STOP IT NOW
as for the question, go to the doctor and get some cream, or put lotion on your face

I have an annual deductible that I never meet. My doctor charges $80 for a basic visit, even just to have a medication renewed. I don’t feel that a 1 inch eczema spot is worth this expense to me.
