Where Does Eczema Occur When Caused By Food Allergies?
Posted by: Alan in Contact Dermatitis, tags: Allergies, Caused, Does, Eczema, Food, Occur, When, WhereOur daughter has bad eczema, and her primary doctor thinks it’s contact dermatitis. It’s on her elbows and arms, sides of her legs and knees, and her cheeks. However, I fed her squash for the first time today, and now she’s got a rash on her butt and a little on her chest and stomach (in addition to what she already has). I can’t think of anything she could have come into contact with today that would cause a rash on her butt or stomach. We haven’t changed diapers, wipes, diaper cream, or laundry detergent for her (Dreft only). Is this more than likely a reaction to squash? Any personal anecdotes or general knowledge about allergies and eczema are greatly appreciated. She’s only 5 months old, so seeing an allergist won’t do much good yet (so I’ve been told). Thanks!
