A couple of months ago I had a really bad “outbreak” of contact dermatitis; I was covered in hives all over my chest, arms, legs, and stomach. I try and avoid the things I know I’m allergic to (silver and nickel in jewelry, etc) but I don’t know what caused the massive outbreak. Since then I’ve had chronic itchness and frequently have smaller scale outbreaks of hives. I’ve tried switching everything from deodorant, detergent, not using any perfume, changing soap, etc. and am still having problems. I take Zertec for a everyday anti-histamine and I have really bad “outbreaks” on the days I don’t take it. And the high humidity lately is only making things worse. Anyone deal with this and have any good remedies? anyone have any good advice?

Okay, so here’s the deal.I am 11 years old and I was born with sensitive skin. I easily get acne, exzima, and I have bad reactions to ant bites. But for about a year and a half now, my skin has been very strange. If I itch my arm then these strange bumps and markings come up at the site where I itched. And, sometimes they come up for no reason at all. They look like ring worms and are really red at the site so it looks like a rash. but these go away after several minutes, depending on the size. These things appear any place on my body!! I think it might be contact dermatitis, but these don’t itch and there really isn’t a cause for it. Also, I’m not allergic to anything that I know of. I apologize for not being very descriptive, but can someone PLEASE help me!!!

I’m getting to be very, very cautious about my dry skin. Apparently I have a strain of Eczema called Atopic Dermatitis. I am wanting to go to extents of just washing my body thoroughly with plain water, and not using Dove body wash soap (although Dove is good at keeping moisture on the skin). To stem off any breakouts of AD.
I’ve noticed that even with not touching my body with soap, my skin still appears to slightly maintain smoothness and moisture.
So, again, I shower three times a day, but I’m beginning to not use soap on my body. Is this an unwise choice? Thank you for answering.
