Question by Ari: Unbearable Itchy Eczema on my Hand WONT GO AWAY!?
I’ve had eczema on my hands (mainly my right hand) for a good 6 years now and it just does NOT go away. I’ll start taking a new medication and after a month or so the bumps and swelling and unbearable itch return. I have switched from medicine to medicine to try and keep it away but it just keeps comming back!!! The doctor says there is no cure for it and i just have to keep switching meds. Any advice on how to help the itch without medication? Any natural remedies? I’m willing to try ANYTHING :(
The doctor did diagnose it as eczema. I have tried every over the counter cream imaginable including cortizone cream and lotions. It tends to flaire up extremely when I am stressed, but no reaction to any particular food. I try to use handsoap that is “soap free” or “Wet Ones” antibac wipes instead and that helps with no additional irritation. I have also tried a few pills but they all tend to make me extremely sleepy so i stopped taking them.

It is hard to locate, but you might like to try Goat’s milk soap. My friend has had sever eczema for most of her life, and this is the only thing that gave her relief.

The soap I am using now has dried out my skin. The dry skin then turns to eczema. So if anyone also has eczema and knows of any good body washes that would help I would really appreciate it. I am female so if it has a nice fragrance that would be nice too. Thanks!

My boyfriend has eczema on his stomach that gets irritated when he wears a belt. Would a different material help? Maybe a rubber belt? Or would that make it worse. Thanks.

I started getting a really bad rash on my breasts about a month ago that won’t seem to go away. First I tried taking prescription allergy medication and applying hydocortisone and it didn’t help, so I went to the doctor and they gave me a cortisone shot and pills (prednisone) and the rash persists. It is very itchy and blotchy, it is a little bumpy but not as bad as it used to be. I also tired applying a cream that I got previously for contact dermatitis and it didn’t help. I tried applying cream for yeast infection and it also didn’t help. I have not worn a bra or tight clothing since the rash appeared. It’s not warm weather here and I haven’t been in the sun so its not heat rash. Does anyone know what this is and how to make it go away? I haven’t used any new soaps or detergents, I washed all my clothes and bedding, I toke all the pills like I was supposed to, I have had no contact with any sort of plants that could cause this, no new medications, no food allergies.
